I'm on a Roll!

I found some more treasures on Craigslist...I don't know why people buy things full price when you can get this cool stuff...

(This bookshelf comes with a twin and they are together $70. I see adding molding to the top, painting them white and making them look built in)

(This table set is gorgeous! I want it! But I would need to get rid of my table first. Paint, time, new fabric... Perrrrfection)

(And this table speaks for itself for only 50 bucks)

Todays Junk to Treasure

WOW...I can't believe this is my 75th blog post! Time goes by so fast. I remember like it was yesterday trying to figure out how to download a picture. Anyway...Here are some of my fav's that I found on Craigslist today. Tons of potential...just needs love; like from someone who knows how to repaint and stain furniture...hint hint

( I love this french china hutch. I don't even think it needs to be painted)
( This is a vintage display cabinet that I can see in an entry way or office with tons of books)

(This dining set is only 100 bucks. I see it with gray legs and chairs with the original wood top..Yummy)

Im "Falling" in Love

Last week when the weather man said we had another week of sunshine and warmth I was excited, soaking up the last rays before Fall. But something about the leaves changing and seeing pumpkins in the grocery started getting me excited about the cozy season to come. Beside 4th of July, Thanksgiving is my other fav holiday and this year the in-laws are coming for a visit. I started to think about my annual "October 1st Fall House decorating" and how I'm going to set my table for a feast. These pictures gave me some ideas :)........

Taaa-Da!

We finally finished painting our bedroom! I'm really happy with the way it turned out. I love the dark gray walls(Dusty Mountain,Bher) against the lighter accessories. Hope you guys like it as much as we do!

Whats your vote?

So I need some help from ya'll. I just got a wing back chair and slipcover for my dining room and I'm not completely sold on it. I like the idea but I'm not sure if it looks good in my kitchen? What do you guys think...Totally keep it and love it, or not so much. Be honest my feelings wont get hurt. Thanks for your input!

I'm feeling Gray and I love it!

I know most people like their bedroom to feel light and airy. They enjoy the morning sunshine to brighten up the room but I much prefer a dark bedroom. It can be tricky though because you can easily go too dark and close up the room by either the wrong shade or wrong accessories. I convinced Matt that he would enjoy a cozier, darker bedroom and now after the first few strokes of paint..he is in love, as am I. Ahhhh. So a few things to remember about going dark..
  1. Make sure you go with a matte finish. No eggshell or satin. The matte finish will calm and warm the space instead of energize and make it cold.
  2. Make sure you play the dark walls with either crisp molding or lighter linens.
  3. If the room had no natural light..don't go dark.

Here are some pictures of darker painted bedrooms that are gorgeous and also fallow all the above rules. I will post pics of our bedroom when I'm done!
