Traditional with a Twist Turner

For the past few months I have been featuring a "Designer of the Month" on my blog in the left column.  I thought I would start the month of April off with one of my favorites!

Meet Nathan Turner

A fourth-generation Californian, Nathan Turner grew up in San Francisco bay area.  He spent many weekends at the family ranch in Northern California, where they would ride horses, raise cattle and cook  meals. Indeed, home is where Nathan’s taste for adventure was born, and something he expresses through his travels and eclectic lifestyle.

His background explains the traditional foundation of his design with the traveled and collected look coming out in his accessories. I love how his rooms are so layered and lived in. He truly has an eye for beauty.

Here are some of my favorite rooms he has designed.  Most of these rooms come from homes of well known movie stars. Maybe he will knock on my door after stumbling across this blog post? A girl can dream! Hope you enjoy the rooms as much as I do.

Happy Monday!

  3. Heather -- I love what you said about layered and live in. And of course, I adore his work. I especially love the photo of the bureau with the globe and lamp surrounded by pictures. Gorgeous! How do you find these people? Off to check him out now...

  4. Funny- I remember a bunch of these interiors from different shelter mags, but hadn't heard the designer's name much. Thanks for putting it all together!
